The more I ‘did me’, the more I started to change things.
★ I found the most amazing, supportive, like-minded friends, who truly ‘got me’.
★ I decided to end my marriage. Painful. But ultimately, we set each other free.
★ I started travelling as much as I could. Big adventures to crazy places.
★ I took voluntary redundancy from my marketing job. I didn’t hate it. It paid well and I worked with great people.
But more than ever, I started to embrace the unknown.
★ I found love again. On a dating app, when I least expected it.
★ I freelanced for a bit. Just to see if I liked it, and whether I could pull it off.
★ I moved out of London to live by the sea in Cornwall. City girl gone rogue!
★ I went back into full-time marketing for a while. Life took a few twists and turns.
Then finally, I decided to go on a mission to help others figure it out too.
It all starts with a conversation.
Working with a coach to unpick everything was the best investment I ever made. Talking to someone who truly listened to my jumbled ramblings. Who asked the right questions and noticed how I responded. Those magic moments when the penny dropped, and I started to understand what was really going on.
And soon enough, this started to ripple into other areas of my life. The fog started to clear. I realised what was important to me, so I started to make small changes, which led to some bigger ones. Sometimes it was as simple as a new perspective.
There were definitely times of discomfort, but these always led to feeling more alive, more empowered. Which led to more magic moments. But even more than that – I started to become more present, more accepting, and more resilient to life’s up and downs.
And I asked myself – why the hell didn’t I do this sooner?
More about me.
I spent 20+ years in London working in marketing for global ad agencies and businesses of all sizes. But after a while, I started to realise this wasn’t what I wanted anymore. The problem was, I didn’t know what I did want. So I saw a personal development coach.
To be honest, I wasn’t sure if coaching could help me. But after the very first session, I was blown away by all the ‘penny-drop’ moments. Finally, I started to get real clarity on what was holding me back. And crucially, how to move forward.
After navigating these changes in my own life, I decided my next move was to help people untangle their thoughts too. The same way this coach helped me. So, I completed a Diploma in Transformational Coaching with Animas - accredited by the International Coaching Federation - the governing body for the coaching profession.
